R.I.V.E.R. Educational Consulting offers seminars and interactive training in addressing social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns, both within schools and within the communities.
We provide one-to-one or school-wide/community-wide training for educational administrators, staff, and school families.
We offer a speaking series dealing specifically with child sexual abuse, teenage dating violence, loss of self-control, and negative coping strategies that help students deal with trauma. During these speaking engagements, we seek to provide alternative coping strategies that will help students positively deal with trauma, anxiety, diminished self-esteem, and suicidal ideation.
We provide family mentoring, advising, counseling, and consulting aimed at equipping individuals with the much needed social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health skills within their households. In addition, we offer consultations on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 plans, and specialized behavioral intervention plans. We seek to fill the void in family communication, feelings of isolation, and worthlessness within a family bond.
We are also pleased to announce that we offer our services to Fire Stations and Police Departments nationwide as well. It is all too often that those that save us from our trauma have little to no deescalation and reflection time for dealing with what they see on their daily work day. We will be able to provide essential skills which will help to unpack the emotions felt after witnessing trauma, feeling the rise and decent of adrenaline, as well as personal trauma and family concerns often suppressed during their daily work.
R.I.V.E.R. Educational Consulting offers speaking engagements on moving through and recovering from grief. With a small panel of experts, ranging from a funeral director’s perspective to that of a mother who lost a child, our speakers share personal and professional stories about moving through loss, healthy recovering, and much more. Audiences may range from young adolescents to the elderly.
Although we are based in Boston, MA and training may be geared toward face-to-face meetings, there is the offering of virtual sessions as well. This allows us to reach school communities, workplaces, and families nationwide whom may not have the ability to have instruction in person.
In addition, if you feel you have a need outside the category, we are happy to discuss the topics with you further. Feel free to contact us with your suggestions.
