Initial Consultation: No Charge
The first step in identifying services needed by potential clients requires a 30-45 minute conversation, either in person, via face-time, or by phone with Dr. Tara Kfoury. During this initial consultation, potential client objectives, concerns, needs and/or wants will be expressed and discussed. If R.I.V.E.R. Educational Consulting services are a good match, we will proceed to discuss our varied contract levels and future steps.
School Administrative Crisis Intervention Training & Consultation Contract:
(ranges from Two 60 minute sessions to a Full Professional Day)
Schools will complete an initial consultation call and establish an agreement of session content, time requirements, and payment with the individualized school and/or school upper administrative offices. Clients are required to commit to an intensive training session(s)on how to identify, intervene, recover, and reintegrate students who exemplify non-suicidal self-injury, suicidal inclinations, co-occurring negative behaviors, and avoidance of a contagion within the school community. An objective of this training is to educate the administrative staff on the identification, prevention, intervention, and post-intervention strategies with the idea of having such knowledge be used within the development of a crisis team response plan or the revision of your current crisis intervention plans.
Classroom Consultation Contract:
(Two 45-60 minute periods of observation & debriefing session with future steps)
After completing a consultation call and agreement with the individualized school and/or school upper administrative offices to enter into contract, the individual teacher will be required to commit to two class observation sessions, plus two post observation conversations, to be provided either in person, via face-time, or phone. At the close of each post-observation conversation, future steps to ensure greater success for the teacher will be provided. The consultant will also email the individual teacher the steps as discussed during one-to-one communication. Extensions of this form of contract can be arranged.
First Responder Consultation Contract: (Sessions vary)
After completing a consultation call and agreement with the individualized fire station/police station/EMS station, this contract will provide essential trauma and stress de-escalation strategies, as well as provide critical daily coping skills to use following responding to life-saving calls. A secondary objective of this consultation would open up the discussion of mental health awareness, the need for self-care, as well as provide a deeper understanding of the mental health concerns of those first responders help each day in their roles. Our tertiary objective would be to help your staff establish a secure external web of safety that will establish relationships with continuing health care professionals and support groups, when needed.
Personal Consultation Contract: (Six Sessions)
After completing a consultation call and agreement to enter into contract, clients are required to commit to a weekly initial consultation contract. This contract will require the client to meet, either in person, via face-time, or by phone for one hour (60 minutes) each week for a period of six weeks. It can include one weekly email check-in between sessions. This initial personal consultation contract is important for establishing a relationship between our consulting staff and the client and highlighting client-consultant overall objectives and needs. In subsequent meetings, our staff will dig deeper to identify critical key areas of concerns and devise an action plan to address areas of mental, emotional, behavioral, social, physiological, and neurological concerns. Often, the first 1 and 2 sessions are spent digging into the concerns of the client and attempting to identify the root causes for these concerns. Together, our staff will design a plan for your continued health needs.
*Extensions of the Personal Consultation Contract can be discussed at the closing of the six week discussion.
Family Consultation Contract: (Six 60 minute Sessions)
After completing a consultation call and agreement to enter into contract, familial clients are required to commit to a weekly initial consultation contract. This contract will require the family to meet, either in person, via face-time, or by phone for one hour (60 minutes) each week for a period of six weeks. Consultation may occur in the familial household, if preferred. This consultation service also includes one weekly email check-in between sessions. This initial personal consultation contract is important for establishing a relationship between our consulting staff and a family, highlighting client-consultant overall objectives. Often, the first 1 and 2 sessions are spent unpacking the concerns of the families and attempting to identify the root causes for these concerns. At the beginning of the third session, our consultants will help your family determine the goals of future meetings, including the provision of strategies that can be employed at home.
